Imaginarium (pl.: imaginaria)noun 1. a place devoted to the imagination.
imperfect/ɪmˈpəːfɪkt/adjective1. not perfect; faulty or incomplete.
Look in your head and see a place where builders unleash the chaos of their bloated inventories on a sim and then try desperately to control the chaos. Are they trying to tell a story? Are they trying to convey a feeling or some deeper meaning? Is it all just randomness and meaningless ? Join us in the Imaginarium Imperfect and seek answers or just enjoy the adventure. The Imaginarium is constantly evolving and unlikely to be the same on your next visit, return often and discover what is on the next page. SLEA3: Lorca by London JunkersAn homage to Federico Garcia Lorca. Spanish poet, playright and theatre director. Member of the "Generation of 27", clear representative of the Silver Age of Spanish literature and one of the most influential writers of the 20th century. SLEA4(SW/NW): яumi Bass Geisha ルミ - Liaison: Regi Step into the enigmatic world of Lifted where JeddaZen , Berkeley and Kirumi express life underwater in more than one installation. Empowering and inspiring. Woman, Mother, Sister , Friend, and Lover. where whimsy and wisdom dance beneath the waves. Here, in the depths of creativity, 3D mesh sculptures whisper tales of motherhood and nurture, each a testament to the gentle strength of the sea.
Above, the surface , stretching the boundaries of reality. Lights intertwine with natural elements, casting shadows that playfully mimic life in many forms. A Dance between shadow and light with a hint of rain...
A space walk in a dream shared by Love, with a fusion of world beats, tribal drums, and the vibrant energy of dance. It's a sonic exploration that complements the visual feast, a call to experience art with every sense. Music is the essence of life, and in this life, art sings the melodies of our deepest emotions, the installation serenades.
Get Lifted and expressive with Art, it transcends the ordinary, music uplifts the soul, and every visit is an ode to the richness of the human experience. SLEA4 (SE/NE): Bamboo Barnes - Liaison: Regi My Bagdad CafeJanuary 2007 was my beginning. I arrived in an endless space with no purpose, just an endless space. I was cold in the crowd and didn't look for connections.Months passed by as if I was walking around with an empty bag.It was only by chance that I ended up there, and it all started when I stared at the statue there and felt the need to take a deep breath.I want to leave my thoughts from then on here for my own memory, if you can sense something unseen in what you saw here, my time has a new meaning.Thank you. SLEA7: Art ღ littlewing (Artistik Oluja) Audacious Playgrounds - Liaison: Shug Hi I'm Art, been wandering around Second Life and other virtual spaces for a while now! In SL I've previously participated in a bunch of interesting collaborations and friendly group projects. My two sim-wide installations with LEA were "Metamorfaces" and "Glass Jars." I also had a solo exhibit at Ribong Gallery that focused on my lenticular visual work. Always inspired to see visitors interact and respond to my ideas.
More recently I have been getting deeper into music, and have been experimenting with live looping and sound design, it's a dimension I've enjoyed bringing into SL spaces and integrating with my pieces here. I've been fortunate to perform with and learn from some very talented and established musicians, who've supported my journey of intuitive expression and serious playfulness, and I'd like to carry that experience across to my SL virtual exploration.
My new installation at SLEA7 is called Audacious Playgrounds. Here I really want to approach the space as I do my music making, being open to a spontaneous improvisation, letting myself get lost in contrasts and layers, a space to play with shapes and sounds.. and maybe you'll feel playful wandering around too! :) SLEA8: The Core by Betty Tureaud Step into a world where creativity knows no bounds with "The Core" SLEA Grant by Betty Tureaud. This groundbreaking grant opening promises an unparalleled exploration of digital art and virtual reality, curated to ignite the flames of imagination. Betty Tureaud's vision unfolds as an extraordinary journey, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression within the realms of Second Life. "The Core" SLEA Grant emerges as a testament to the transformative power of art in the digital age, inviting artists and enthusiasts alike to embark on an immersive adventure where innovation and imagination collide. SLEA Bridge: Bridge 1 and 2 for access to the Bridge Project Database. Do you own a gallery? You should add it to the SLEA Gallery database… the Bridge Project.
